A Lil’ About Josie
I was always an artistic kid. Whether it be drawing or sculpting or making paper mache things. So when i found clay it was just another medium for my creative outlet. Over the years i have drawn inspiration from form and function but also found joy in the sculptural part of clay. Currently i am diving back into some scraffito techniques and Mishma where i can exploit my illustrative skill with my forms. I just recently opened a studio with a fellow ceramics enthusiast. Nichole Hess of Snowy Brook Studios. Together we have created a community studio based in Wharton NJ. www.jerseyclay.com We hope to create an environment to nurture and encourage the creative clay community.
